Content Creator Lenzah Ademba has gotten Kenyans cracking with hilarious Get Ready With Me (GRWM) videos. Her hilarious Swahili videos relate with many Kenyans with the struggle to speaking fluent Swahili. Lenzah does her videos raw and unfiltered which the broken Swahili bringing a lot of humor.The Public administration and leadership student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology(JKUAT) takes us through her content creation journey.

1. Who is Lenzah Ademba?

Lenzah Ademba is a funny young girl who finds humour in everything, even the most serious situations.

    2. You have been going viral with your hilarious GRWM videos. How was the feeling at first?

    I was happy since I was not expecting it at all

    3. What was going through your mind after seeing everybody watching your videos

    Nothing was going through my mind after going viral since I was focused on studying for my exams

    4. Are people , friends among others treating you different now?

    Most of my friends call me ‘celeb’ but no one has handled me differently.

    5. How would you describe your content in 3 words? 

    My content is funny,funny and funny

    6. Take me through your content creation process?

    My content comes straight from my head. I simply need context and a quality camera. The rest will flow.

    7. Your GRWM videos feature some hilarious Swahili bloopers. Was that planned or a happy accident?

    I guess it was a happy accident. I was just bored

    8. What’s one Swahili word you always trip over, no matter how many times you try?

    Kishawishi

    9. Have your comment sections ever turned into free Swahili lessons? What did you learn?

    I learnt about kujitia hamnazo still don’t know the meaning though

    10. What’s one message from a follower that made you realize your content actually matters?

    It made them happy, like it made their day

    11. Do you think your content is helping Kenyans embrace Swahili with less shame and more humor?

    Yes. Absolutely.

    12. Off-camera, how do you improve your Swahili?

    I don’t think I do. I just let it flow

    13. What are your aspirations in your amazing content creation journey?

    To make people happy especially during this time. I like spreading joy and good vibes

    14. What would you tell a young creator afraid to start because they don’t “speak perfect Swahili”, or any other reason?

    Just do it. Add a little humor and you’ll be fine no one would even notice you don’t speak perfect Swahili
